Proclamations

Flag Day

Mayor Alexander-Basta presented a proclamation to Bolingbrook Police Officer Antonio Tucker acknowledging the celebration of Flag Day in Bolingbrook. 

Approval of Bills

Trustees voted to approve bills in the amount of $3,295,142.36.    

Resolutions

Approval of Resolution (22R-033) Approving a Contract for the Purchase of Windows from Compass Window and Door for Fire Station Number 4

Trustees voted to approve this contract. Fire Station No. 4 is located at 1111 W. Boughton Road.  The original windows are from 1991 and are wooden, leaking, and replacement parts are hard to find.  Seventeen (17) windows are to be replaced.

There were two (2) quotes obtained and Compass was the lowest received at a total cost of $40,782.00.  This was a budgeted request for fiscal year 2022/2023.

The Public Safety Committee reviewed and recommended approval.

Approval of Resolution (22R-034) Approving an Agreement with V3 Companies, Ltd. for Professional On-Call Engineering Service Assistance (Subject to Attorney Approval)

Trustees voted to approve this agreement.  With the number of developments occurring and several other maintenance projects including striping, crack filling, and sidewalk repair, the engineering staff is in need of additional professional services personnel for the construction season this June to November. 

V3 is a professional engineering company that can provide a wide variety of services including engineering technicians, surveyors, licensed professional engineers, and engineering project managers. Engineering will have V3 assist for an average of 30 hours a week during this construction season.  The cost will not exceed $93,600.00 and was budgeted for as part of the Engineering Division budget.   While the dollars will not change, this is being passed subject to attorney’s approval.

The Public Services and Development Committee reviewed and recommended approval.

Ordinances

Approval of Ordinance (22-039) Amending Fees, Charges, and Other Regulatory Measures (Mileage Fee - Fee Schedule)

Trustees voted to approve this ordinance which approves the mileage fees.  The old Village Ordinance provided for a resident and non-resident mileage fee.  Now that the mileage is incorporated into a basic life support or an advanced life support transport, the Ordinance needs to be amended.

The new mileage fee of $15.00 per mile (resident or non-resident) will only be charged if the transport is to any hospital other than AdventHealth Bolingbrook or Edward Hospital in Naperville. 

Approval of Ordinance (22-040) Amending Certain Provisions of Chapter 22 (Fire Protection) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Bolingbrook (Fees for Services)

Trustees voted to approve this Ordinance which sets fees for services.  In the recodification, some language was missing from the ambulance billing.  This Ordinance amends the code to provide the billing rate charged is based on the approved rate from Healthcare Family Services and removes the language requiring rate be increased based on the Medicare reimbursement rate of three (3) percent, whichever is greater verbiage.
