Approval Of Appointments – Boards and Commissions


The following residents were approved for reappointment on the Civic and Cultural Affairs Commission for the position of Commissioner.  They will be sworn in at their next Committee meeting.

POW/MIA Remembrance Day

A Proclamation was presented to representatives of Bolingbrook’s Armed Services Veterans with the VFW Post 5917 and American Legion Post 1288 acknowledging the annual remembrance of Prisoners Of War (POWs) and Missing In Action (MIA) who have yet to return home and to their families from overseas armed services action.


Help the Knights of Columbus’ Help Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities Days Tootsie Roll Drive September 16th and 17th, 2022

A Proclamation was presented to representatives of both Councils of the Knights of Columbus in Bolingbrook to raise community awareness of their upcoming Tootsie Roll Drive fundraising effort in Bolingbrook. 


Approval of Bills

Trustees voted to approve bills in the amount of $3,131,556.48.    



Approval of Resolution (22R-064) Supporting Continued Efforts to Resolve Public Safety Concerns with the Safe-T Act

Trustees voted to approve this Resolution which encourages the Illinois State Legislature to resolve numerous issues that remain with the Safe-T Act that place an unreasonable burden on police and public safety.  Many of the provisions of the Safe-T Act were effective January 23, 2022. 



Approval of Ordinance (22-054) Establishing a New Class “C-11” Liquor License & Increasing the Number from Zero to One

Trustees voted to approve this Ordinance which creates a “C-11” beer and wine only for an indoor golf establishment.  The hours of operation will be Sunday 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.


Approval of Ordinance (22-055) Amending Fees, Charges, and Other Regulatory Measures (C-11 Fee – Fee Schedule)

Trustees voted to approve an update to the fee schedule, which is being amended to add the $300.00 application fee for the C-11 liquor license as well as the $3,000.00 license fee.  This fee puts the indoor golf establishment in line with the Ax Throwing and Comedy Club license fees.


Approval of Ordinance (22-056) Amending Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code Decreasing Class “D-2” (Full Service Liquor) from Nineteen (19) to Eighteen (18) – Fatty Magoo’s – 551 Bolingbrook Dr.

Trustees voted to reduce the number of approved D-2 Liquor Licenses.  Fatty Magoo’s closed and this Ordinance decreases the number of “D-2” licenses to reflect this closure.


Approval of Ordinance (22-057) Approving Plat of Vacation of Public Utility and Drainage Easements (Lots 30 and 31 in Americana Estates)

Trustees voted to approve this Ordinance which approves the plat for vacating public utility and drainage easements inside parts of lots 30 and 31 in the Americana Estates.  One large single family home development is proposed on these lots which would no longer require the easements.
